Obituary for Mary Edith Gramer

Mary Edith Gramer, 90, of Lapeer died Monday, July 17, 2017.

Mary was born September 16, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Lawrence & Lillian Grue. She attended Lapeer High School, class of 1944. She married Charles Richard Gramer on June 2, 1944 in North Augusta, South Carolina. Mary was a homemaker in every sense of the word. She was 100% about her family. Mary’s perfect day was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and spouse – very proud of her family.

Mary is survived by her husband, Charles Gramer; children: Carol (Larry) Grumley of Lapeer, Charles Gramer of Port Austin, Pamela (Rick) Joles of Roscommon, Deborah Planck of Lapeer, Laurie (Tom) Worden of Gladwin and Renee (Jim) Bishop of Columbiaville; twenty-seven grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; three sisters: Margaret, Lois and Diane. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Grue; daughter-in-law, DeeLynn Gramer and her parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice, 1515 Cal Drive, Davison, MI 48423.

Visitation will be from 4-8PM Thursday, July 20, 2017 and 10-11AM Friday, July 21, 2017 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Mary’s funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, July 21, 2017 at Muir Brothers. Father Michael Gawlowski will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lapeer.
