Obituary for Bernard "Bernie" Pariseau

Bernie Pariseau, 76, of Lapeer, passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side, on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

Bernie was born May 2, 1943 in Detroit to Bernard “Barney” Pariseau and Geraldine(Mylander) Pariseau Landazzi. He graduated from St. Mary High School in Royal Oak, class of 1961. He served his country in the US Air Force as an instrument repairman. Bernie moved to Lapeer in 1973 and retired from Detroit Edison after nearly 40 years as a Journeyman Lineman. Over the years he enjoyed traveling, camping, duck hunting and golfing. He loved to stay busy around the house, tending the yard, and always had a project in mind. Bernie was a very loving, caring and generous faith filled man who always went the extra mile to help others in their time of need.

Bernie is survived by his beloved wife, Jo Carol Pariseau; daughters Candace (Bernard) Beauchamp and Dana (Max) Beach; siblings: Stella Landazzi (Dennis) Gornick; Joe Landazzi; sister-in-law Debbie Garrick; nephew and godson Jay (Sarah) Garrick; and step-grandchildren Brandon Beauchamp, Kaitlyn Beauchamp and Ryan Beauchamp, and many cousins. Bernie was preceded in death by both parents,brother Gerald Pariseau and sister Rosemarie (Landazzi) Levine.

Visitation will be from 1PM-8PM Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer with rosary at 7pm Sunday at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be held at 11AM Monday, June 3, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church in Lapeer, Father Brian Hurley and Father Doc Ortman will officiate. A viewing from 10AM-11AM at the church will precede the mass. Military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post #16 Honor will follow the funeral mass. Luncheon immediately following. Cremation and burial will take place at a future date.
