Obituary for Craig Pendleton

Clifford “Craig” Pendleton, age 76, of Merritt Island, Florida, formerly of Metamora, died Monday, November 12, 2018. He was born November 13, 1941 in Pontiac, to Clifford Samuel and Edna Irene (Wyman) Pendleton.

Craig worked over 30 years for General Motors at the Iron Foundry Plant in Pontiac. He was born into and grew up in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, now known as the Community of Christ Church. Many years ago Mr. Pendleton moved to Florida, but he always enjoyed his visits back to Lapeer…often during Lapeer Days. Craig made many friends as a member of the Lapeer Fraternal Order of Eagles #2427, Lapeer Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2433 and Lapeer Elks Lodge #2567 and their respective clubs in Florida. He could often be found shooting pool, bicycling and traveling with friends.

Mr. Pendleton is survived by his children: Glena (James) Maas of North Branch, Ted Pendleton of Merritt Island, Florida, Samuel Pendleton of Virginia and Brenda Niquette of Lapeer; grandchildren: Mellisa Gibbs, Christina (Timothy) Brooks, Teagan Pendleton, Tamzyn Pendleton, Canon Pendleton, and Emilie Niquette; and great-grandchildren: Zachary Gibbs, Cassandra Brooks and Callen Gibbs. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clifford and Edna Pendleton; and sister: Carol Galiardi.

The family will receive friends 4-8PM Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. No formal funeral service will take place. Cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home. Please share condolences and memories at
