John was born January 8, 1941 in Cuero, Texas to John G. and Barbara (Laughter) Adcock. He attended Parkview High School in Springfield, Missouri. John served his country proudly in the US Air Force from 1959 through 1962 – he was an aircraft mechanic. Mr. Adcock worked at TAG Airlines in Detroit for a short time, then went on to work at Chrysler where he was accredited 49.6 years, retiring on June 1st 2006. John was a handy man; he enjoyed snowmobile repair and built go carts for his grandchildren - which he was very proud of. For fun, he also loved snowmobiling and was a avid NASCAR fan. Mr. Adcock was a bit of a researcher; he was very knowledgeable and interested in US history, and spent a lot of time looking into his family history to share with those he loved. In his spare time John loved trap shooting and was a member of the Cedar Rod Gun Club and the B & BS Gun Club. He coached the Richmond High School Trap Shooting Team. John was a very proud member of the Confederate Veterans. John cherished his family.

John is survived by his wife, Sharon Adcock; children: John (Debra) Adcock of Brookline, Missouri and Sherry (Doug) Feyers of Flint; son-in-law, Russ Wilkins of Highland; four grandchildren: Amanda (Phil) Dodge, Wesley (Lauren) Adcock, Gabriel Feyers and Samuel Feyers; five great grandchildren; sister, Jane (William) Martin of Springfield, Missouri. John is also survived by many very special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheri Wilkins in December of 2018; brother, Fred Adcock and his aforementioned parents.
