
Julie Ann Kiligian, age 68, of Lapeer, formerly of Utica, died suddenly Wednesday, October 3, 2018. She was born February 19, 1950 in Macomb, Michigan, to Lambert and Elizabeth (Medberry) Ohlert.
Julie graduated in 1968 from St. Anne Catholic High School in Warren. Mrs. Kiligian retired from the GM Tech Center in Warren, where she held many positions. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially artificial flower and wreath arranging, often giving them to friends and family. Throughout her life Julie had a special love of all animals, the pets she had during her lifetime include: a monkey, skunk, sheep, pony, potbelly pig, birds, poodles and every breed of dog you can imagine. Mrs. Kiligian loved and cared deeply for everyone in her family.
Julie is survived by her children: Joseph Opatik of Attica and Tammy (Mike) Randolph of Brown City; grandchildren: David, Alex, Emilee, Nathan and Garrett; great-grandchildren: Hailey and Knoella; siblings: Robert (Helen) Ohlert of Clinton Twp., Pat (Tilly) Ohlert of Almont, Jim (Louise) Ohlert of Armada, Mike Ohlert of Almont and Bonnie Bowman of Alganac, MI; many many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Kiligian; and parents: Lambert and Elizabeth Ohlert.
In accordance with Julie’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. A celebration of Julie’s life will take place at a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.MuirBrothersLapeer.com.
