Obituary for Kenneth Edward Kozlowski

Kenneth Edward Kozlowski, 74, of Imlay City since 2005, formerly of Emmett & Warren, died September 28, 2018. He was born February 20, 1944 in Detroit to parents Edward and Harriet (Prusinski) Kozlowski. Ken graduated from Pershing High School, Class of 1962. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Mr. Kozlowski returned home to date, then marry Donna Remeselnik on April 27, 1968 in Detroit.

Ken worked as a motor cycle police officer, for the City of Warren, 25 years retiring in 1989. He also owned and operated the Beech Grove Camp Ground, in Emmett. Ken could really be considered a food connoisseur, which went hand in hand with his love to travel. Donna and Ken enjoyed going to the casino. Mr. Kozlowski was known for telling his stories of traveling. Above all else, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Donna, daughters: Michelle (Barry) Kersten of Riley; Renee (Jason) Hart of Auburn Hills, grandchildren: Barry; Carly; Ian, brother-in-law: Tom Remeselnik as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents.

His visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Tuesday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. The funeral will be 11:00am Wednesday October 3, 2018 at Muirs, officiated by Chaplin Todd Regester, concluded with a military salute under the auspices of the American Legion Post #16 Honor Guard. Cremation will follow services, with interment eventually in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
