Obituary for Carol Lynn Noble

Carol Lynn Noble (nee Matyunas), 66, of Metamora area for last 31 years, passed away unexpectedly Sept 3, 2018. She was born March 29, 1952 in Royal Oak.

She was raised in Royal Oak and graduated from Dondero High School. She graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from Marygrove College. She began her teaching career working for the Archdiocese, St. Benedicts then onto St Mary’s catholic school in Royal Oak and Bishop Foley before completing her career in Lapeer where she spent 14 years and influenced many lives. Recently she was a volunteer tutor at the Lapeer Family Literacy Center helping people to attain their GED's. She was a small cell lung cancer survivor for almost 20 years. She enjoyed golfing, darts, karaoke, and spending time with friend and family but most of all her granddaughter, Sydney. She could whistle in a totally unique fashion and would “tweet” long before it became an app.

She is survived by her son: Eric and his wife Karina, granddaughter: Sydney, sisters: Ruth Ann and Nancy (Jim Mcgee) and brother: Jim and many, many friends.

Cremation was entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday November 3, 2018, from 12:00 to 4:00pm, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 3565 Davison Rd, Lapeer.
